Berlusconi, 2 years of disqualification from public offices for the Mediaset conviction

The Court of Appeal of Milan has set Silvio Berlusconi's ban from public office at 2 years following his conviction for tax fraud in the Mediaset trial - The Court decided in accordance with the Cassation - The Knight's lawyers have already announced an appeal – Berlusconi is waiting to be entrusted to social services

ilvio Berlusconi will be banned from public office for two years. This was decided by the Milan Court of Appeal following the conviction for tax fraud in the Mediaset trial. The Milanese Court of Appeal has chosen the same path indicated by the Cassation.

However, Berlusconi's lawyers have already announced an appeal to the Cassation itself: they asked that the interdiction be limited to one year.

The PDL leader is waiting to be entrusted to social services: his application will be evaluated in the coming months.

There is no doubt that the interdiction severely limits Berlusconi's political moves and represents a further step towards his definitive political decline.
