Among all the food and wine guides, it is certainly one of the most appreciated for the pockets of Italians. Berebene 2024 by Gambero Rosso, the publication that traces a national map of quality wines at an affordable price, no more than twenty euros, came out in time for the holidays, but is excellently valid for everyday life.
The Guide appears this year in a totally renewed guise, in fact it is proposed as a wine list, an ideal list divided into categories (bubbly, white, rosé, red, sweet) which lists many great wines, offered at affordable prices .
The maximum ceiling for access to the publication - explain the guide's editors - has been raised to 20 euros, a psychological threshold which in Italy allows access to an enormous and very precious portfolio of different wines, vines and styles.
This year there are 921 awarded wines, all described in detail and with a score in cents, used for the first time awarded by Gambero Rosso tasters among almost 50 thousand wines in 2023.
