Gasoline, what a sting: 80 euros to fill up

The crisis between Trump and Iran is exacerbating and in Italy petrol prices are skyrocketing, with an increase that has not been seen for some time. In fact, oil has returned to the prices of four years ago, with quotations of wtf above 71 dollars a barrel and those of Brent which stand at 80 dollars a barrel.

Since the beginning of 2018, the price of oil has already increased by 17%, due to tensions in the Middle East and the cuts decided by the OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries). The clash between Washington and Tehran is accentuating this price hike.

In short, for Italians, traveling by car on the weekend will be increasingly expensive. They will have to choose carefully where to get petrol, between traditional companies and "low cost" ones that manage to keep prices below a certain threshold.

Currently the increases have been made by Eni, Q8, IP e tamoil.

The data from Energy Newspaper reveal that refueling in self-service mode can cost money today 1,615 euros per liter, while in served mode 1,739. Diesel comes to 1,493 €. But, as reported by the Ministry of Development, there are Italian locations such as Reggello (Florence, Arno Est) where a service station has reached the threshold of 2 euros per litre

Basically, it takes more than to fill up with petrol in a medium-sized car 80 €, while for diesel at least 74 €. At this rate, many will be forced to give up the trip out of town.
