Ben Ammar: "If Rai wants to privatize and La7 is looking for partners, I'm here"

Alitalia, RCS, Telecom Italia and above all television: “La7 it's not for sale, but if Urbano Cairo is looking for a partner, I'm here. Even if the Rai he wants to sell, privatize, we are here”. It's a Tarak Ben Ammar the one that spoke today to the microphones of Radio 24 was all-out.

"I think it is positive to privatize Rai as happened in France - continued the French-Tunisian financier -, so politics comes out of television, which is a big problem". Ben Ammar underlined that “to renew the concession of the license fee, the Italians should decide the editorial line that the public service should have. Sawiris bought Wind, Telecom maybe the Spaniards, luxury to the French, why can't two Arabs be partners with other Italians if Rai is privatized?”.

The declared objective of the financier is “to aggregate a large television in the Mediterranean. I would like to have the 60 million Italians, 60 million French and 60 million Spanish. In Italy, the ideal ally is whoever wants to join our project”.

But the Franco-Tunisian tycoon's thoughts aren't just about TV. "I say to the Arabs: come here to Italy and invest", urged Ben Ammar in reference to the matter Alitalia.

As for Rcs, the financier hopes that “there is a publisher. Della Valle has to be a publisher, he has the money. He can. He is a great entrepreneur ”. Ben Ammar recalled that he had criticized the businessman from the Marches “only for the story of Geronzi and Bazoli's old age: I want people to respect their age. Bazoli is a great old boss, he contributes to a certain thing called Banca Intesa ”.

Finally, Talecom Italy: “Franco Bernabè inherited rubble from others. He was elegant and said 'goodbye'. There is no doubt that state holdings are to be regretted”, concluded Ben Ammar.
