Rain of kidnappings for Francesco Bellavista Caltagirone, arrested three days ago on charges of conspiracy to commit tax evasion, as part of the investigation, which involves 17 other people, on the port of Fiumicino. The Guardia di Finanza of Rome has sealed movable and immovable assets attributable to Caltagirone for a value of 145 million euros.
Among the assets seized, a private plane, a villa on Capri and a 70-metre maxi yacht stand out. In Caltagirone a 600 million euro tax evasion is disputed: the investigators have reconstructed a network of dozens of companies, based abroad (preferably in tax havens) owning properties which, in fact, were for the exclusive use of the Roman entrepreneur, who is destitute and with tax residence in Luxembourg.
