The Italian Society for International Organization - SIOI organizes the course of Expert in National and International Ceremonial and Protocol (15 November/13 December 2021), now in its thirtieth edition.
The course, explains SIOI, intends to acquire knowledge of the rules of ceremonial and of the formal code of behavior present in the various aspects of international public relations. The Protocol is the set of rules governing the ceremonial in general referring to its codified aspects.
The course is aimed at young people interested in undertaking a career in international public relations, but also to the managers and officials of the Public Administration, to the officials of the foreign Embassies in Italy and to the staff of the private structures involved in the organization of events of national and international importance.
There are many job opportunities in this sector; that of master of ceremonies is a profession in continuous transformation and always of great interest. It is also particularly stimulating because it always presents new challenges, and to best carry it out you need organizational and relational skills, flexibility, attention to detail and to new trends expressed by social and cultural dynamics, knowledge of a plurality of different rules and codes of conduct .
Among the many topics that the program of the course explores, we highlight the State Ceremonial, the Diplomatic Ceremonial, the Islamic, Jewish, Chinese and Indian Ceremonial, the Vatican Ceremonial, the Institutional Etiquette. One section is dedicated to the Olympic Protocol and International Sporting Events and particular attention is paid to the most recent developments, with modules dedicated to the Ceremonial in times of the pandemic, to the Communication of Online Events and to Netiquette.
The teaching activity consists of nine meetings in live streaming mode, twice a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10.00 to 13.00.
