Overnight deposits at the European Central Bank continue to rise. According to the ECB's daily data, the funds deposited they amounted to 488,884 billion euros on Friday evening, against 464,848 billion on Thursday.
Little changed however marginal loan applications, which rose to 2,366 billion euros from the 2,940 billion of the previous session. The ECB also announced that, as part of the second 40 billion covered bond purchase program – launched last November 3 – purchases amounted to 5,472 billion as of Friday, from the previous 5,417 billion.
