Last week, the Frankfurt institute took over bonds from countries in difficulty for an amount of 3,361 billion euros – The total figure thus rises to over 211 billion.

Last week the European Central Bank it has once again increased its purchases of government bonds in the euro area. The Eurotower took over bonds on the debts of countries in more serious conditions for a total amount of 3,361 billion euros, against the 635 million of the previous week.

The data is reported by the ECB itself, which in the previous week had purchased bonds for 3,662 billion euros. With the latest operations, the total amount of Euroland government bonds held by the ECB, excluding those that have already matured, rises to 211 billion euros.
