ECB, 7,3 billion allocated in Tltro auction

19 banks took part in the operation, a decidedly lower number than the 55 that took part in the previous auction: the request is the lowest of all the seven rounds of the LTTRO - In June, the LTTRO wanted by Draghi starts: another 4 maxi-loans , conditioned on the provision of credit to the economy.

The ECB awarded today 7,3 billion euros to banks in the Eurozone, on the occasion of the seventh round of the Tltro plan launched in September 2014: 19 banks took part in the operation, a decidedly lower number than the 55 that took part in the previous auction, held in December.

On the six previous occasions, the TLTRO had placed 82,6 billion (18 September 2014), 129,8 billion (11 December 2014), 97,8 billion (19 March 2015), 73,8 billion (18 June 2015), 15,5, 2015 billion (September 18,3) and 2015 billion (December XNUMX): this was therefore the lowest request ever. The funds of the new Target long-term refinancing operations, expiring on 26 September 2018, have been assigned for the first time at a fixed rate of 0%.

In June comes the Filter 2, announced by the president Mario Draghi after the last meeting of the board: it provides for four maxi-loans to banks, conditional on the disbursement of credit to the economy, with a negative rate equal to the new rate on deposits (-0,40%).
