ECB, halt of the Bundesbank: do not go beyond the mandate

After the declarations of the German government last Friday, which had fully supported the words of Mario Draghi and recognized the full independence of the ECB, the German central bank has once again intervened in the opposite direction. But signals of possibility are coming from the chancellery. Among other things, the statement of the Bundesbank's top management – ​​which, it should be remembered, counts only one vote on the board of the ECB and has already ended up in the minority several times – dates back to an old interview over a month ago.
