BCC Roma amends the statute and joins Iccrea

Working Sunday forExtraordinary shareholders' meeting of the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Roma that on 13 January 2018 it resolved to amend the company by-laws to allow the Bank to join the Iccrea Cooperative Banking Group within the set deadlines, after the decision of the assembly of Iccrea which initiated the 250 million euro capital increase.

According to the president of the BCC of Rome Francesco Liberati “a fundamental step has been taken for the future of the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Roma, with the aim of giving concrete continuity to the long journey made from 1954 up to the present day. Our Bank will continue to operate as it has always done, with firm reference to the inspiring principles of mutuality and solidarity. But it will do so in the context of a large organized group, a group which will be a reason for strengthening each individual member bank and the group itself as a whole. We will be part of the fourth Italian banking group and, in this group, our bank will be the first both in terms of size and equity, and in terms of corporate ownership with a significant equity weight".

Total deposits as at 30 June 2018 amounted to 11,3 billion, up on the previous year by 0,5%.
