Bcc di Cambiano goes against the tide: collections and profits are growing and above all the disbursement of credit

Intervening in support of the local economy by creating the conditions to favor its growth is the basic philosophy of the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Cambiano, which presented the report of the 129th financial year at the institute's headquarters in Piazza Giovanni XIII in Castelfiorentino closed on 31.12.2012 which was unanimously approved this afternoon by the shareholders' meeting.

The numbers, presented to the meeting of more than three thousand shareholders of the bank for the approval of the financial statements, speak for themselves: the total collection has reached the figure of 2.137 million euros, with an increase of 6,11% compared to the previous year, while at the national level it is 1,60%; economic investments amount to 1.799 million euros, with a growth of 4,69%, while at national level it is -1,10%; the net profit for the year stands at 5,2 million euro; the assets, after the provisions relating to the distribution of the 2012 profit, will amount to 212 million euros, placing the Bcc di Cambiano at the top of the banking system in terms of capital endowment ratios.

“We can only be pleased to present this report to our members. These data confirm, comments the General Manager Francesco Bosio, that in a phase in which there is much talk of restrictions in the disbursement of credit, the by now famous credit crunch, the Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Cambiano has distinguished itself for having undertaken initiatives of opposite sign, i.e. disbursing credit. Absolutely positive results, which acquire even more value if we consider that 2012 was another black year for Italian and European credit institutions. We have signed agreements with various trade associations, allocating in 2012, in support of small and medium-sized enterprises, an additional 50 million euro for specific ceilings at favorable conditions in agreement with the credit consortia, with which a total of 150 million euro transactions have been completed . We have made a similar commitment to support associations operating in the social and cultural sphere, allocating considerable sums".

We intend to continue, with our services, to encourage growth that unblocks the energies of the territory, restoring trust to businesses and families, to face the economic difficulties that our country is going through with confidence and hope, added the President Paolo Regini and the General Manager Francesco Bosio.

“Once again, declares the General Manager, we have had proof of the validity of our way of banking, which is reconfirmed by the positive results obtained, which have placed our Bank at the top of the territorial banks of the entire region and among the first nationwide. Once again this year we have been rewarded for having remained faithful to our mission as a bank in the area, where attention to the person and his needs has always been the foundation of the bank's actions.

We have invested the financial resources raised in the same local areas in which we operate rather than venturing into financial games. We have chosen to sow in fertile soils and from these we have obtained excellent fruits.

Fruits that also derive from being a bank that has an innovative and traditional organizational model at the same time. Our territorial network today has 31 branches, which will be joined by the new operating unit of Villa Fagan in Florence, which operate with increasingly streamlined settings thanks to innovative technological supports that allow immediate remote interactions. While always keeping in primary consideration the management that favors relationships with customers, growing and increasingly satisfied, where contracts become relationships and customers become people."

The Chairman Paolo Regini underlines the particular attention that has been dedicated to environmental issues. “All the interventions on the buildings were carried out by seeking oriental solutions for energy saving. Likewise, significant interventions were made to reduce the "paper system", which led, in collaboration with Cabel Industry, to the installation of the Descartes application which allows the dematerialisation of branch documents and contracts. All our cash desks have been equipped with electronic signature devices. The adhesion of customers to the new service has been almost total and well received, allowing us to avoid printing almost two million sheets of paper a year”.

With regard to the difficult situation that the country is experiencing, President Regini observes that “unfortunately, the general scenario does not leave room in the short term for signs of an improvement in the economic picture.

In this context, our activity will have to rigorously tend to keep the good overall technical situation of the company in balance. With specific reference then to the credit risk, it will be necessary to continue with the prudential policy always adopted. In the field of financial management, we also reconfirm for the future the overall approach of maximum aversion to risk and great availability towards the needs and requirements of our territory."

"Banca di Cambiano, concludes Francesco Bosio, will continue to remain faithful to the purpose for which it was born, that is to give credit and provide service by always placing man at the center without deviations."

The meeting fully reconfirmed the board of directors for the three-year period 2013-5 with Paolo Regini as president, Enzo Anselmi as vice president and Mauro Bagni, Enzo Bini, Marco Gozzi, Renzo Maltinti and Paolo Profeti as directors. The board of statutory auditors was renewed with a strong pink presence, with Stefano Sanna as president, Rita Ripamonti and Edoardo Catelani as standing auditors and Elena Gori and Angela Orlandi as alternate auditors.
