Bayern: Ancelotti sacked

Last night's defeat in the Champions League against PSG would have blown the bench of the club which, according to the German media, would have already contacted some candidates for replacement, including Thomas Tuchel, formerly of Borussia Dortmund.

Carlo Ancelotti has been sacked by Bayern Munich. This was reported by ESPN, citing sources within the Bavarian company. Last night's defeat in the Champions League against PSG would have blown the bench of the club which, according to the German media, would have already contacted some candidates for replacement, including Thomas Tuchel, formerly of Borussia Dortmund. For the time being, the team will be coached by Ancelotti's deputy, former French defender Willy Sagnol.

The defeats against Hoffenheim, in the Bundesliga, and the one suffered yesterday evening in the Parco dei Principi, against PSG (3-0), in the Champions League weighed on Carlo Ancelotti's bench. The trial of the Italian coach had already begun in the German newspapers and even the president of the Bavarian club, the former striker Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, during the dinner with the team and the managers, spoke of a "very bitter defeat, which must have of the consequences and must force us to a careful analysis of the moment we are going through. It wasn't the real Bayern. We will talk about it today and then we will draw the consequences in a clear, sharp and precise way”.
