From 15 April also the emissions of CDP can be purchased under the QE of the ECB after 15 April. This was announced by the president of Cassa depositi e prestiti Franco Bassanini.
The president of the CDP specified that the fact of being left out of the first quantitative easing list was "a technical problem, we will make an issue - he added - and therefore after April 15, we will become eligible", explained Bassanini. In fact, in recent days the ECB has announced that the updated list of broadcasters that can participate in the QE will be published on 15 April and among these there could also be the name of CDP.
With the issue of 7-year bonds published on 9 March and closed well in advance after just 4 days, the CDP has so far issued 9,5 billion euros still not reaching the minimum threshold of 10 billion to take part in the quantitative easing program. Precisely on the placement of bonds dedicated to small savers (minimum denomination of 1000 euros and 12,5% tax), the president of CDP expressed his satisfaction, claiming that it was "a great success"
