Barilla: in 2017 profits up to 241 million (+20%)

Barilla archives 2017 with a net profit of 241 million euros, without considering the portion reserved for minorities. The result is up by about 20% compared to the 201 million of the previous year.

Revenues totaled 3.468 million euros, up 2% year-on-year and 3% at constant exchange rates. In 2016, the turnover was equal to 3.403 million euros.

On 31 December last, the group's net financial position was positive by 126 million euros, against 66 million the previous year.

Barilla Holding spa, 85% controlled by Cofiba and 15% by Gelp spa (in turn 100% controlled by Cofiba) closed the 2017 financial statements with a net profit of 45 million and 816.136 euros, entirely allocated to reserves.

Barilla Holding ceased operations last month, as the Barilla group, as part of a corporate simplification, decided to proceed with the merger by incorporation of Gelp and Barilla Holding into Cofiba.

Barilla operates in 26 countries, exports to over 100 and owns 28 production sites in 9 countries, including Italy.
