The British bank is in fact strongly downsizing its retail business in the boot, which will end up among the 400 billion pounds of assets of the bad bank, where all sectors considered "non-core" will be included.

Barclays cuts 19 jobs in three years, many of them in Europe and Italy. The British bank is in fact strongly downsizing its retail business in the boot, which will end up among the 400 billion pounds of assets of the bad bank, where all sectors considered "non-core" will be included. In fact, Barclays will close 572 agencies in Europe, 111 of which in Italy, employing just under a thousand people (6 thousand on the continent).
