Bank of Italy: employment +2,7% in 3 years

The total number of employed persons in Italy has grown in percentage terms by 2,7% in the last three years.

This is one of the most important data contained in the Economic Bulletin published today by the Bank of Italy which underlines how, compared to the start of the global crisis, which began in 2008, the number is still 1,3 percent lower.

Also in the last three-year period (ie just under 1.100 days) chosen by Bank of Italy for the analysis, hours worked rose by 3,4%.
Also in this case we are still below pre-crisis levels: -5% compared to the end of 2008.

With regard to labor costs, via Nazionale points out that it rose modestly for the economy as a whole and that for industry in the strict sense it fell for the fourth consecutive quarter.
