Bank of Italy: business loans are up (+0,5%)

The increase in loans to households also continued in October (+1,6%) - Overall, loans to the private sector recorded an annual growth of 1,0% (against +0,9% in September) .

They grow again bank loans to companies. According to the latest supplement to the "Money and Banks" statistical bulletin by the Bank of Italy, in October the growth rate was 0,5% on an annual basis. There hasn't been a positive change since May.

The increase also continues financing for families (+1,6%). All in all loans to the private sector they recorded an annual growth of 1,0% (against +0,9% in September).

As for NPLs, in October the bad debts of Italian banks they decreased by 1% year-on-year and by 1,7% compared to September.

However, correcting the figure to take into account securitizations and other loans sold and canceled from bank balance sheets, in the same way as is done for loans, the annual growth rate of non-performing loans was 11,7 per cent in October , down from 12,1% the previous month.
