Public debt hits a new record. In March, the debt of public administrations in fact started to increase again to 1.946 billion, after having fallen to 1.928 billion in February. The data was disclosed by the supplement to the statistical bulletin of the Bank of Italy on public finance.

In detail, tax revenues were down in the first three months of the year. In January-March - according to the supplement to the Bank of Italy statistical bulletin on public finance - tax revenues amounted to 83,168 billion, down by 0,5% compared to 83,591 billion in the first quarter of last year.
