The agreement for Basel 3 is near. This is what Stefano Mieli, central director of Bankitalia said, during the hearing in the Finance Commission in the Chamber. The agreement for the introduction of Basel 3 implementation rules through the two legislative acts (the CRD IV directive and the CRR regulation) could according to Mieli be achieved on the occasion of the Ecofin in March.
"The publication of the two legislative acts in the EU Official Journal – the central director of the Bank of Italy also specified – is expected before next summer".
