Bank of America returns to profit in the third quarter

Bank of America returns to profit and beats analysts' estimates. Indeed, the American institute concluded the third quarter with a unet tile of $4,51 billion ($0,37 per share), a sharp improvement over a $232 million loss incurred in the same period last year due to significant expenses related to thejudicial agreement on mortgage loans worth 5,6 billion.

Net of interest expense, total revenues stood at 20,91 billion versus 21,43 billion a year earlier. The result clearly exceeded the expectations of analysts who had forecast earnings per share of $0,33.
