"Ultrabroadband, tax credit in the Stability law"

This was announced by the deputy secretary to the Prime Minister, Raffaele Tiscar. The other novelty concerns the establishment of a guarantee fund accessible to operators who will invest in the target areas

Tax credit, for companies that invest in ultra-broadband, in the Stability law. When it seemed that it had reached a dead end, the government's ultra-broadband implementation plan is therefore regaining momentum. Reviving hopes for a concrete launch of the program that will bring ultra-fast Internet to less commercial areas is the Deputy Secretary to the Prime Minister Raffaele Tiscar who spoke about it yesterday on the sidelines of the "Cyber security Energy" conference. “There will be – he said – an implementing decree for the use of existing infrastructures given that the European law has been approved”. But above all, "two provisions will be included in the Stability law which require a primary rule, namely a guarantee fund accessible to operators investing in the target areas and a tax credit".

In short, we are trying to find the flexible instruments, decree or higher level standard to get the broadband plan off the ground on which the government will make 5 billion available by 2020. The first 2,2 billion have already been allocated by the CIPE. Meanwhile, 30 companies responded to the consultation opened by Infratel, the government's operating arm on the subject of ultra-broadband. “The official data – announced Tiscar again – will be published together with the public aid project which will be available for consultation for 45 days”.
