Ultra-broadband, Infratel tender: the first lots at Open Fiber

The five lots awarded involve six regions for a total amount, before tender discounts, of approximately 1,4 billion euros

Infratel Italia has officially awarded Open Fiber the five lots of the first tender to build ultra-broadband infrastructure in the white areas of the country, known as "market failure". This was announced by the company controlled by Invitalia in a press release.

"The board of directors - we read - approved the award proposal after the tender commission communicated that it had completed all the formalities required by law".

The five lots involve "six regions for a total amount, before tender discounts, of approximately 1,4 billion euros, and are divided as follows: 123 million for Lot 1 (Abruzzo and Molise), 232 million for Lot 2 (Emilia Romagna), 439 million for Lot 3 (Lombardy), 222 million for Lot 4 (Tuscany) and 388 million for Lot 5 (Veneto)".
