Banco Popolare appoints Mediobanca and Merrill Lynch as merger advisors

Mediobanca and Bank of America Merrill Lynch have been appointed as financial advisors in defining future strategic prospects and in conducting any extraordinary transactions.

Banco Popolare announces that it has formalized the appointment of advisors to assist the institute in defining the Institute's future strategic prospects. In particular, the following have been appointed: Mediobanca and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as financial advisors in defining future strategic prospects and in conducting any extraordinary transactions.

Colombo & Associati and the lawyer Carlo Pavesi were also appointed, within their respective areas of competence, to provide advice on the process of adapting to the reform of cooperative banks (Law No. 33 of 24 March 2015) as well as to participate in the definition of the most appropriate strategies in relation to possible developments in the group consolidation process.
