Banco Bpm, agreement with Confimprese to support companies

The retail association which brings together 300 commercial brands, 30 points of sale and 600 employees with a turnover of 148,2 billion euros between franchises and direct networks, and Banco Bpm, today the third largest bank in the country born from the merger of Banca Popolare di Milano and Banco Popolare, have outlined a preliminary path for reaching the definition of an agreement.

Confimprese, the retail association which brings together 300 commercial brands, 30 points of sale and 600 employees with a turnover of 148,2 billion euros between franchises and direct networks, and Banco BPM, today the third largest bank in the country born from the merger of Banca Popolare di Milano and Banco Popolare, have outlined a preliminary path to reach the definition of an agreement to support, with the maximum extent, the expansion of the member companies.

In this context, Banco BPM is available to identify areas of comparison to evaluate and investigate a wide range of possible collaborations to be achieved both through plafonds dedicated to financial support for growth, internal and external, and for the development of sales networks, and through tools and services such as consultancy on acquisitions and mergers, opening up of capital and other more innovative tools for company growth.

To these initiatives could also be added, under specific conditions for associated companies, proposals for value-added service solutions, both in the field of collection and payment services and in the field of advanced/digital services, together with the implementation of initiatives national and local, developed jointly, within the perimeter of the collaboration agreements.

With these assumptions and objectives, Confimprese and Banco BPM intend to compete in the research and identification of shared criteria and requirements, in order to develop a commercial collaboration agreement that contemplates the best financing solutions and the most suitable services among those made available by BPM desk.

«The start of this process together with Confimprese – he underlined Luca Manzoni, Corporate Manager of Banco BPM – testifies to the commitment that we dedicate every day to all the entrepreneurial expressions of our country. In fact, the world of Confimprese represents a fabric of companies full of potential that deserve to be enhanced with the most effective tools». "The collaboration with Confimprese - concludes Manzoni - aims to assist companies in the best possible way by promoting their development both through dedicated loans and through the development of an offer of products and consultancy services specifically designed for member companies" .

«The major obstacle for starting a commercial activity – declares Mario Resca, president of Confimprese – is the allocation of initial capital. Access to Banco BPM's credit allows our companies to open new points of sale and create employment, especially for young people, at a time when Italy is in the dark spot in Europe on the employment front. This year we will open over 1000 businesses with 10 new employees. Retail is a labor intensive sector that needs fresh capital to increase the sales network and sustain consumption».
