Banco Bpm: agreement with Banco Santander for Trade Club Alliance

Business customers of Banco BPM and BPM Spa will be able to promote their business in the virtual showcase and receive messages aimed at stimulating B2B contacts with other members of the Community, both within national borders and internationally.

Banco BPM and BPM Spa have signed a strategic agreement with the Spanish bank Banco Santander which allows customers of Banco BPM and Bpm Spa to join the "Trade Club Alliance" and thus enter the community of active international companies founded and led by Banco Santander.

By drafting a business card with the salient elements of the company, the customer companies of Banco BPM and BPM Spa will be able to promote their business in the virtual showcase and receive messages aimed at stimulating B2B contacts with other members of the Community, both within national borders and internationally.

To participate in the Trade Club, Banco BPM and BPM Spa will create the "You Lounge - The Trade Club" Business Community which will be connected to those of leading international banks forming the Trade Club Alliance.

According to Giuseppe Castagna, CEO of the Banco BPM Group, "this operation was born with a view to implementing more technologically advanced services in favor of Banco BPM's customers". In particular, the world of SMEs, which requires consultancy and services not only for finance but also for balance sheets, exports and tax rules, is supported by the institute led by Giuseppe Castagna thanks to an innovative IT financial consultancy structure completely dedicated to businesses.

The countries covered by the Santander Trade Club through the presence of the Santander Group are the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain and Poland.

The banks currently already annexed to the Santander Trade Club, which will form the Trade Club Alliance together with Banco BPM are Nordea (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden), Eurobank (Greece and Cyprus), KBC (Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia , Bulgaria), Attijariwaffa (Maghreb's leading banking group with headquarters in Morocco and operations in Africa), Industrial Bank of Korea (South Korea), Credit Agricole (global bank that has joined for French territory) and Siam Commercial Bank ( Thailand).

The project is aimed at welcoming about eighteen banking groups covering the most interesting commercial areas in the world. The prospective view of customers affiliated to the Trade Club Alliance by the 18 Banking Groups in approximately 40 countries worldwide is approximately 75.000 companies, by the end of 2019.
