Banco Bpm: 4,5 million to Credimi for the "Italianonsiferma" securitization

The operation is part of the initiatives aimed at mobilizing private savings in favor of the real economy - for SMEs, 5-year loans with 15-month pre-amortization

Banco Bpm has financed the fintech company Credimi with 4,5 million euros. The loan will be used to purchase a portion of the securitization called "Italia non si ferma", of which Credimi is the promoter and servicer. The operation is part of the initiatives aimed at mobilize private savings in favor of the real economy, currently grappling with an unprecedented crisis caused by the coronavirus emergency that has shocked Italy and the world.

"The securitization will be fueled by loans disbursed through the innovative digital platform of Credimi", explains Banco Bpm in a note. Small and medium-sized Italian businesses will have the opportunity to apply for loans with a duration of 5 years and a 15-month pre-amortisation with a repayment start scheduled for September 2021.

“Banco Bpm, to facilitate the purchase of a tranche of this securitization, has resolved a loan of € 4,5 million in favor of Credimi, linking to it in a shared objective of supporting the Italian productive sector in this particularly difficult period”, explains the bank.

"Banco Bpm in this delicate moment is directly involved in supporting the economy at all levels" - comments Francesco Minotti Head of the Institutional Entities and Third Sector Department - "and it was a great satisfaction for us to support Credimi in this initiative which helps to bring together resources on our country's SMEs”.
