Banco Bpm: 3 million to Sibeg Coca-Cola for a photovoltaic plant in Catania

Banco Bpm has granted a loan of 3 million euros to Sibeg Coca-Cola (ACIES Group of Bologna), a company based in Catania that produces, bottles and develops all The Coca-Cola Company brand products in Sicily.

With the resources deriving from the loan, the company will install a new photovoltaic system at its production site, located in the heart of the industrial area of the capital of Etna. Thanks to the investment made, the energy produced by the new 2,2 MWp photovoltaic plant will go from the current 250.000 kWh/year to approximately 3.000.000 kWh/year, increasing the percentage of energy from renewable sources.

"We are always looking for new ways that can lead to the reduction of the impact on the territory - underlines the managing director of Sibeg Coca-Cola Luca Busi - this operation is further confirmation that our commitment is renewed every year with important goals to achieve. The new credit line will serve to enhance the current photovoltaic portfolio, raising our environmental performance: the plant, which will extend over an area of 10.053 mXNUMX, will in fact cover the entire factory".

“With this operation, the percentage of self-produced energy with respect to the plant's needs will rise to 74-78%, of which 27% will come from the 2,2 MWp PV plant itself,” the manager specified.

“The intervention in support of Sibeg and the ACIES group confirms Banco Bpm's strong will to stand alongside virtuous companies that implement their growth plans in a logic attentive to sustainability, the environment and technological innovation and which they represent an important driver of development for the territory – comments Marco Notari, head of the Central – Northern Corporate Market of Banco Bom who followed the operation”.
