The Supervision of the ECB will announce this morning the latest results of the stress tests carried out on European banks based on the financial statements as at 31 December 2016.
About ten Italian institutions are interested, including the big credit companies, namely Intesa Sanpaolo, Unicredit, Ubi, Bper, Mediobanca, Popolare Sondrio, Carige, Credem and Iccrea.
The results, which will be aggregated and not personalised, obviously keep the markets on their toes because European Supervision, repeatedly criticized by the president of the ECB Mario Draghi and by the Bank of Italy, is always a loose cannon, even if this time the rumors filters from Frankfurt seem reassuring.
