Banks, here are the 14 Italian ones that will end up under the supervision of the ECB

From 4 November, 120 European banks will come under the direct supervision of the ECB, 14 of which are Italian. The final list was published yesterday by the Central Bank.

The institutes in our country are the following: Unicredit, Intesa Sanpaolo, Mps, Banco Popolare, Mediobanca, Banca Popolare Emilia Romagna, Ubi Banca, Banca Popolare di Milano, Carige, Popolare di Sondrio, Popolare di Vicenza, Barclays Italia, Iccrea Holding and Veneto Italy.

Bnl, on the other hand, is included in the list of French institutions, as it is controlled by Bnp Paribas. To determine the list, parameters such as the value of the assets, the importance in relation to the country's economy, the international presence and having received European aid were used.

The other banks not included in the list will remain under the supervision of the national authorities but the ECB may decide to intervene if it detects the need.
