Banks and insurance companies: 26 Scholarships for the Luiss Master

The Luiss Guido Carli University, in collaboration with IBL Banca and Net Insurance, presented the new edition of Second level Master in European Economics, Banking and Insurance Sciences (SEBE), organized by the School of European Political Economy (SEP).

The objective of the Master is to explore the role of banks in European economic systems and the articulation of financial markets, with specific attention to insurance. For this reason, the course of study will focus on the strategic, operational and managerial aspects of banks and on the various characteristics of the insurance sector.

Il The course is divided into three modules

  • “European Monetary Policy and Economics”, 
  • "Activities of credit and insurance companies", 
  • “Organisation, Legal, Control, Human Resources Management and New Scenarios”.

Also planned are 4 days of seminars on the topic of bank balance sheets and financial technology.

Luiss lets it be known that for this new edition they are 26 scholarships available to fully cover the participation fee which will be open both to graduates in Economics, Law, Political Science or Statistics, or similar degrees - based on the assessment of the Master's management - and to employees of IBL Banca and Net Insurance in possession of the aforementioned academic requirements.

In detail, IBL Banca and the Vincenzo and Lidia Giordano Foundation – named in memory of the first President of IBL Banca and his wife Lidia – have allocated 120 thousand euros for 20 scholarships, to which are added another 6 scholarships worth of 36 thousand euros financed by Net Insurance.

The master lasts seven months, 1.600 hours in total, and will allow for the acquisition of 60 university credits (ECTS). Scholarship applications will close Friday January 8 2021. The application must be submitted exclusively via the online platform of the Luiss School of European Political Economy.

The Directors of this second edition are Dr. Andrea Battista, CEO of Net Insurance, Prof. Oscar Cosentini, director of IBL Banca, and Prof. Marcello Messori, professor of Economics at the Department of Political Sciences of Luiss Guido Carli and former Director of the School of European Political Economy.

“In the post pandemic, the European banking sector will be called upon to play a crucial role in the evolution of the financial markets. This Master helps prepare professionals for this process to be successful,” he commented Marcello Messori, director of the Master.
