Cooperative credit banks: the Government accelerates the reform

The provision could be included on the agenda of the last day of the Council of Ministers to be held before the end of the year.

The Government accelerates on reform of cooperative credit banks. The launch of the decree - according to what is reported by the Radiocor agency - could be inserted on the agenda of the last day of the Council of Ministers to be held before the end of the year, or in the following one.

The name package, based on the principles of self-reform developed by the system of cooperative banks, provides for the creation of a single banking group, in the form of a joint stock company, which will have direction and governance functions over the individual cooperative banks, which will sign cohesion contracts with the parent bank maintaining a sphere of autonomy.

The single cooperative credit group would become the third largest in Italy by assets, amounting to 20 billion.
