It could not have happened at a less opportune moment, but the stock exchange listing of Popolare di Vicenza and Veneto Banca is also supported by Bank of Italy.
The general manager of Via Nazionale Salvatore Rossi, on the sidelines of a conference organized by Cuoa, answered questions relating to the IPOs of the Veneto banks and the existing possibilities of success given the current turbulence on the markets (Piazza Affari is currently losing 2,3% in the wake of yet another collapse of the banking sector).
Rossi is hoping for a good result: “I hope this will happen despite the difficult market conditions. The moment on the Stock Exchange is certainly difficult for all European banks and on some days with particular intensity for Italian banks”.
