Banks: 9 other small institutions at risk of cracking

Banks: 9 other small institutions at risk of cracking

The four lenders recently saved by the government with the bank-saving decree (Pop Etruria, Banca Marche, CariChieti and CariFerrara) are not the only seriously ill people in the Italian banking system. There are at least nine others: these are small banks still commissioned and under the control of the Bank of Italy.

In particular, to date the institutes smelling of crack are the Mediterranean Banking Group, Cassa di Loreto, the Sports Credit Institute, BCC Irpina, Cassa di Folgaria, Banca Popolare delle Province Calabre, Banca di Cascina , Banca Brutia and the BCC of Terra d'Otranto.

If a buyer is found in the new year, these banks will be absorbed. Otherwise, they are doomed to skip.
