The increase of 1,8 billion brings the total to 102 billion, from 100,2 in August – In September deposits from deposits grew by 2,8% on an annual basis – Deposits from resident customers rose by 1,4 % (from +1,5%).

Banks, Abi: non-performing loans over 100 billion in September

The gross non-performing loans of the Italian banking system exceeded 100 billion euros in September. The increase of 1,8 billion brings the total to 102 billion, from 100,2 in August. In relation to loans, non-performing loans amounted to 5,14%, against 5,09% in the previous month. As for net non-performing loans, they increased by 700 million from 53,8 billion, equal to 2,78% of loans (2,83% in August).

In the following month, funding from Italian banks grew by 2,8% on an annual basis, confirming the same upward trend recorded in September. In detail, deposits from resident customers rose by 1,4% (from +1,5% in September), while bank bonds recorded +5,2% (+5,1%) and repurchase agreements +25,3% (+20%). These data emerge from the monthly report of the Abi.
