Banca Popolare di Sondrio: profits +152% in 2021, a 2022 dividend of 0,22 euro is on the way

The assembly of the Banca Popolare di Sondrio approved the 2021 budget, closed with a Net income equal to 268,634 million euros, up by 152,01% every year. The institute communicates it in a note.

At the consolidated level, the direct collection from customers stands at 39.304 million (+10,53%), while indirect customers reach 40.982 million (+17,77%) and insurance customers at 1.909 million (+11,19%). Total deposits from customers thus reached 82.195 million (+14,04%). THE customer loans instead they reach 31.059 million (+5,72%), while the net suffering they are equal to 0,62% of loans to customers.

Il consolidated equity, including the profit for the year, amounted to 31 million as at 2021 December 3.270,494, with an increase of 272,923 million over the year (+9,10%), determined by the recognition of the profit for the year under review, as well as by increase in reserves.

Capital ratios

On the balance sheet front, as at 31 December 2021 the CET1 Capital Ratio marks 15,78%, while the Total Capital Ratio stands at 18,88% (phased-in). The Texas Ratio, calculated as the ratio between total net non-performing loans and tangible shareholders' equity, reaches 25,8%.

The meeting also approved the distribution of a gross unit dividend equal to 0,20 euro. The detachment will take place on May 23rd and the coupon will be paid from the 25th. The profit will therefore be used on the basis of this subdivision: 90,677 million for dividends, 121,122 million for reserves and 0,3 million for the charity fund.

BoD renewed by one third

Finally, as envisaged by the articles of association, the board of directors was renewed by one third with the appointment of five new directors: Francesco Venosta, Federico Falck, Anna Doro, Nicola Cordone and Serenella Rossi (the last three are independent).
