In particular, the papers are produced from renewable biomass and respond to today's needs of policies of attention to the environment, with a final product with zero CO2 sum. The PLA used in Bancomat and CartaCONTO Banca Passadore cards complies with the European standard EN 13432, which implies degradability in a compostable environment, the absence of heavy metals and the absence of ecotoxicity (it does not affect ecosystems).

There are various initiatives that the Bank has activated in its internal structure which place it at the forefront, in its sector, on the subject of respect for the environment. In addition to the initiatives that have been in place for some time regarding the reduction in the use of paper and the disposal of waste, since the beginning of this year "plastic-free” the areas of the Bank intended for corporate welfare, paying homage to all the staff with customizable aluminum bottles and replacing in the areas "snacks and drinks” all plastic containers with those in biodegradable material.
