World Bank alarm for the sharp slowdown in the global economy in 2012, which risks having repercussions above all on developing countries.
According to the Institute's new economic forecasts, world GDP will grow by 2,5% in 2012, when growth in 2011 was 2,7%. The figure is 1,1 points lower than that indicated by the same Bank in June. The situation should improve in 2013, when +3,1% will be reached. In detail, next year the growth will be of 5,4% in developing countries and 1,4% in high-income countries. For the eurozone, on the other hand, is expected to experience a recession: -0,3%.
