Banca IMI expands the range of investment instruments thanks to the offer of eight new Bonus Cap Certificates listed on the SeDeX market of Borsa Italiana. Thanks to the new certificates, the investor will have the possibility of obtaining returns in situations of stability, upside or limited downside of the underlying financial asset with a short-term time horizon.
The Banca IMI Bonus Cap Certificates are Conditionally Capital Protected Investment Certificates which pay the investor a premium at maturity if the underlying, at maturity, has a value greater than or equal to the Barrier Level.
In particular, all Bonus Cap certificates listed on March 9th have the following characteristics:
- issue price equal to 100 Euros
- duration of 18 months and barrier observed only on the final survey date, i.e. 5 September 2019 (European barrier).
As an example, let's see in detail how a certificate works: the Bonus Cap on Air France-KLM (ISIN: IT0005326142). The investor will have the possibility to purchase this instrument directly on the SeDeX market of Borsa Italiana starting from 9 March 2018 through his/her trusted financial intermediary, phone banking or internet banking.
The certificate will pay the bonus amount of Euro 112,80 (+12,80%) at maturity if, on the valuation day, the price of the underlying is equal to or higher than the Barrier Level of Euro 6,8250 (or if the share of Air France-KLM does not lose more than 30% of the Initial Value). Conversely, if the value of the underlying should be lower than the barrier level (equal to 70% of the Initial Value of the underlying) the investor will suffer a loss commensurate with that which he would have obtained by investing directly in the underlying share.
