Banca Ifis: new headquarters in Milan with a 260 m50 green wall. Redeveloped historic XNUMXs building

Bank Ifis presented its Milan headquarters in via Borghetto 5, in the Porta Venezia area, the subject of an important work by redevelopment in a green key of the 50s building owned by the bank led by Frederik Geertman: it is powered by 100% renewable energy, purifies the air thanks to a special paint and reduces the use of drinking water by 37% and for the furnishings have been chosen materials and furniture from short supply chains and local companies.

Banca Ifis' new “green” headquarters

What most characterizes the property, explains the Bank, is a green wall of 260 square meters, one of the largest in Milan, which overlooks Viale Luigi Majno. A "green lung" made up of 30 different species of local plants, which uses drop-by-drop hydroculture for maximum water savings and manages to absorb 589 kilograms of CO2 while producing 442 kilograms of oxygen.

The entire redevelopment project of the building, signed by OneWorksIn partnership with RBS Design Group, DEERNS e Paisa, has been designed to create functional offices for flexible working but also aggregative areas for moments of sociality: in the basement there are spaces that can be used for training, meetings and recreational activities: the first three floors offer flexible workspaces with mobile workstations, while the fourth floor is characterized by a second gathering area with a coffee area and an adjacent terrace covered with vines, an external staircase mitigated by vegetation and the garages covered by green pools enriched with plants and essences. Finally, the fifth floor houses the executive offices.

Finally, the goals of energy saving ed eco-sustainability, at the basis of the project, have allowed the building to obtain the LEED Silver International certification.
