Banca IFIS: the second edition of Botteghe Digitali is underway

The Banca IFIS Impresa project is restarting, designed to support small entrepreneurial and artisan realities in the digitization process in collaboration with Ca' Foscari University and Marketing Arena

Banca IFIS: the second edition of Botteghe Digitali is underway

The second edition of Digital Workshops #2, the initiative created by Banca Ifis Impresa with the scientific supervision of Stefano Micelli of the Ca' Foscari University of Venice e George Blown, CEO of the Marketing Arena agency, designed to help Italian artisan businesses face the ongoing technological and digital revolution.

After the success of the first 2016 edition, which transformed the 4 selected artisan realities (Lefrac, Occhialeria Artigiana, Sartoria Concolato and Studio Cassio) into real digital enterprises, renewed in all corporate functions, Botteghe Digitali returns in 2017 with a project even broader, more articulated and more engaging, specially designed to meet the needs of small Italian entrepreneurial realities of excellence.

The ten protagonists, selected among the more than 300 applications received, they will try their hand at a real manufacturing 4.0 experiment, accompanied by coaches and specialists who will provide them with practical advice on the actions to be implemented to make their business more innovative and efficient thanks to the tools offered by new technologies.

The mentoring will cover the various company functions, from administration and finance to marketing and product design and will be the subject of the episodes of the web series BottegheDigitali #2, directed by Cristina Redini whose first edition has 1 million views.

The new edition also presents an important novelty: starting from this year, the project will be able to reach all those realities which, even if not selected to participate in the initiative, are interested in learning more about digitization issues, thanks to the launch of a 'exclusive web platform which will allow the sharing of the guidelines and advice of the Botteghe Digitali coaches.

Alberto Staccione, General Manager of Banca IFIS commented: “We are proud of the success achieved by Botteghe Digitali #1 and of the numerous applications received for the second edition; for this reason, we have decided to renew and extend the project, also through the launch of a web platform, to all those who are interested in learning more about the topics covered by our coaches. This initiative is further evidence of the attention that Banca IFIS has always reserved for all those small artisan realities that make up the productive fabric of our country and represent its excellence in terms of know-how, taste and creativity, elements that distinguish the Italian manufacturing in the world. It is a concrete example of how Banca IFIS supports the real economy and stands alongside the productive part which seems weaker but which has an ever more consistent impact on the country's growth”.

Stefano Micelli, professor of International Management at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice, declared: “Botteghe Digitali represents a unique experiment in the Italian panorama which from a tale of Made in Italy craftsmanship of excellence has been transformed into a real manufacturing experiment 4.0. Industry 4.0 is usually thought of as a prerogative of large companies: the Botteghe Digitali program instead aims to provide new technological tools and a new organizational approach to project Italian know-how into global competition".

"Since the first edition, Botteghe Digitali immediately proved to be a successful format that offered the artisans involved the opportunity to put themselves to the test, with the support of specialized figures, and accept the challenge posed by the digital transformation underway - he commented George Blown – ”Since I created Marketing Arena, I have tried to transfer to my collaborators the passion and obsession for effective digital strategies that exploit the potential offered by web marketing and social media to achieve business objectives.”

The ten artisans who will be the protagonists of the web series Digital Workshops #2 they are: Angelo Inglese of the G.Inglese tailoring (Ginosa), Antonello Druetta of Upholstery Druetta (Cuneo), Antonio Follador of the Follador Bakery (Pordenone), Emanuele Lispi of Officina Lispi (Città della Pieve – Perugia), Carlotta Gabbiani of the Gabbiani glassworks ( Venice), Eugenio Celli of No – Made Boards (Teramo), Pier Giorgio Silvestrin of Lydda Wear (Padua), Susanna Chiappa of La Golosa Officina (Fano), Hiroshi Vitanza of Barber Mind (Milan), Maurizio Bresesti of the Brema carpentry (Castonetto of Chiuro).
