Banca Ifis buys another 54 million Npl from a utility

A few weeks before the end of 2016, Banca Ifis makes another purchase of Non-Performing assets. In fact, the institute concluded yesterday the purchase of a portfolio of non-performing loans deriving from supply contracts to natural persons and small businesses for a nominal value of approximately 54,4 million euros corresponding to more than 45 thousand positions. The portfolio was sold to Banca Ifis by one of the leading energy companies in Italy.

“We are pleased to have completed this operation – said Andrea Clamer, head of Banca Ifis' Npl Area – which marks the Bank's entry into the Non Performing credit market from utilities. It is a sector that we have observed for a long time and in relation to which we have recently implemented some operational management innovations. The utilities sector will in fact be able to contribute to the development of the broader Bank project in the NPL area, accelerating the average collection curves of the portfolio".
