Banca Generali, net profit and record inflows in 2017

The group led by Gian Maria Mossa closed 2017 with the best results ever. Attention to capital solidity, net inflows at the highest levels driven by the boom in managed solutions, Dividend per share at 1,25 euros. The title gains almost 2% on the Stock Exchange

Banca Generali, net profit and record inflows in 2017

Banca Generali's 2017 financial year was the "best ever" for the Trieste group. The past year ended with a Net income equal to 204,1 million euros, an increase of 31% compared to 2016. Profit growth was driven by the forward momentum of growth in size (masses up 17% to 55,7 billion euro).

Banca Generali has shown a strong focus on financial solidity, with the indices at the highest levels in the sector. +180 basis points for both the CET1 (at 18,5%) that for the TCR, to 20,2%. Both stand at higher levels than the minimums required by the Bank of Italy.

Il consolidated equity further improves to 736 million euros, +14% since the beginning of 2017. Positive results also with regard to net collection, equal to 6.9 billion euros, with an increase of 21% compared to 2016. More than double the managed solutions, equal to 84% of total deposits.

The Board of Directors has proposed a dividend per share at 1,25 euro, +17% from last year.

Satisfaction in the words of the CEO Gian Maria Move: "The best year in the bank's history with significant double-digit growth in all the main items, not only commercial, but also profitability in the income statement".
