Angelo Girelli is the new one president of Banca Generali. The appointment came from the assembly, which met today in Trieste, and will have a three-year term. Girelli, who has been managing director of the Bank since 2000, takes the place of Giovanni Perissinotto, who will remain on the board of directors. Piermario Motta becomes managing director. At the end of the morning, Banca Generali's share on the Stock Exchange gained almost two and a half points in Piazza Affari.
The other the members of the board are Angelo Miglietta and the independents Mario Francesco Anaclerio, Paolo Baessato, Giovanni Brugnoli, Fabio Genovese, Anna Gervasoni and Ettore Riello. Perissinotto explained that the choice reflects “a point of view of continuity. My commitment – he guaranteed – is not he'll stop anyway."
