Record-breaking Banca Generali: profits +140% in the first quarter

General Bank sparks in the first quarter of the year, closed with a flurry of new records. In particular, the institute scored to evaluate for 93,1 million euros, marking an increase of 140% compared to the same period last year. As for the revenues, grew by 73%, to 180,5 million. The management fees, on the other hand, reached 107,6 million (+32%), while the total masses they reached 39,5 billion (+30%). This is the "best quarter ever for assets, revenues and profits", underlines the Bank in a note.

During the conference call with analysts, the CEO of Banca Generali, Piermario Motta, he made it known that – after a total net inflow of 1,447 billion euros in the first four months of the year –, the institute is preparing to revise upwards the estimates of inflows for 2015, forecast so far at 2-2,5 billion.

The number one of the Generali subsidiary also anticipated a return of the payout towards historical levels of 80%, after 70% in 2014. The interest margin it fell in the period to 18,8 million, from 28,7 million in the first three months of 2014 after the repayment of the remaining 800 million of the three-year loan promoted by the ECB. In the first quarter, the contribution to the total revenues of performance fees, increased to 72 from 7,6 million while "April was not at the levels of the previous three months", underlined Motta.

The counter-secured financing activity dedicated to private customers also continues to grow: loans of this type in fact rose to 1,7 billion (+20%) in the first three months and the revenues generated show a strong growth in the period (+32%). The target of recruiting 75-85 new professionals by the end of the year has also been confirmed.

Il share on the Banca Generali Stock Exchange, which yesterday closed up by 0,67% with a gain of more than 21% in the last month, this morning it is up by 4,9%, at 31,64 euros.
