Banca Generali's total net inflows in April amounted to €143 million, of which €87 million from the Banca Generali network and €56 million from the Private Banking network. Since the beginning of the year, the Banca Generali network has raised €453 million, while the private network has raised €233 million. The April data is particularly positive, considering that during the month there was a resumption of tensions on sovereign debt in Europe and a deterioration of the Italian and European macro-economic context. In particular, the fact that funding from new customers remains at excellent levels should be underlined, as shown by the increase in assets in administered products, particularly in securities.
In fact, Banca Generali confirms itself as one of the most dynamic companies in terms of asset management thanks to the competence of its professionals, the quality of the service and the financial solidity. It is no coincidence that in the last seven months, coinciding with the escalation of tensions on the financial markets, Banca Generali has collected €1,2 billion (€686 billion since the beginning of 2012). In terms of product categories, there was an increase in deposits in securities (€44 million) and current accounts (€46 million) during the month, due to the aforementioned action to acquire new customers.
Good levels were also confirmed by net inflows managed in funds and portfolio management (€24 million in the month), which reflects the cautious but constant action of new professionals in the construction of medium/long-term financial portfolios, always favoring defensive or protected. New insurance business remained at excellent levels (€59 million in the month); since the beginning of the year the cumulative figure has stood at €641 million which compares with the €462 million of the previous year (+39% y/y).
