The civil court of Arezzo has declared the state of insolvency of Banca Etruria (the losses have been estimated at one billion and 167 million euros), accepting the appeal of the institution's liquidator, Giuseppe Santoni.
The decision of the bankruptcy court is the premise that the Prosecutor of Arezzo, Roberto Rossi, was waiting for to evaluate the opening of an investigation for fraudulent bankruptcy against the former heads of the institute, including Pier Luigi Boschi, father of the minister for Constitutional Reforms, Maria Elena Boschi. The formal launch could arrive shortly, thus paving the way for a sensational turning point in the story.
Instead, the Court rejected the appeal of unconstitutionality against the Salva Banca decree (bail in) presented by the lawyers of former president Lorenzo Rosi.
