The Apollo and Lone Star Funds presented two binding offers for the en bloc purchase of the bridge banks created by the four lenders placed in resolution by the Government - One offer concerns only Banca Etruria, while Apax asks to re-enter the tender if they are reopened the terms.

The Apollo funds (already known for the offer relating to Banca Carige) and Lone Star presented two offers for the en bloc purchase of the bridge banks created by the four credit institutions placed under resolution by the Government, a third offer concerns Bap Vita and Previdenza, the small insurance company of the Nuova Banca Etruria group while a fourth envelope, presented by Apax, contains a request to re-enter the tender if the terms were reopened.

The press rumors circulating in the last few days were officially confirmed by the Bank of Italy which, through a note, announced that "In compliance with the terms established by the procedure for the sale of the good banks, three binding economic offers have been received" for acquire the four good banksnamely Carife, Banca Etruria, Banca Marche and Carichieti. Bankitalia does not reveal the names of the subjects involved, but there are few doubts regarding the subjects involved.

The offers will now have to be examined by the financial advisor SocGen and by the lawyer, the Chiomenti studio, in order to be able to evaluate their overall value. The circulated estimates of a value of 400-500 million are not currently confirmed. Recall that the initially desired price was around 2 billion.
