Banca Carige, Malacalza rises and Modiano is a candidate for the presidency

La Malacalza Investment presented yesterday the list with which in the next meeting on 20 September he aims to take over the leadership of Banca Carige and to turn the page with respect to the controversial Fiorentino management, the current CEO.

There are many prominent names on the Malacalza list: in addition to Modiano, who would thus return to the world of credit after a long season alongside Alessandro Profumo at the top of Unicredit, the London School economist is among others Lucretia Reichlin, candidate for vice president, Salvatore Bragantini, former commissioner of Consob, e Fabio Innocenzi, also former Unicredit and now in Ubs, who could become the new CEO of Banca Carige if the Malacalza list wins the awaited meeting on 20 September.

In presenting his candidates, Malacalza reiterated his commitment to strengthening and relaunching Banca Carige and announced that he had increased his investment in the bank of the Ligurian capital, rising from the previous 20,6% of the capital at the current 23,9%.
