Company Description

Pandora was founded in Copenhagen in 1982 by the goldsmith Per Enevolsen and his wife Winnie. It was born as family-run jewelry store, later establishing itself as an international brand in the production of customizable bracelets, rings, necklaces and watches. Over time the demand for the products grows considerably and consequently the Enevoldsens shift their attention to wholesale distribution. Business went better and better and in 1988 Enevoldsen hired designers and in 1989 opened a production site in northern Thailand, just outside Chiang Mai. In 2000, Pandora launched its iconic bracelet customizable for charm, which has become famous all over the world. Initially Pandora sales are limited to Europe, later extending to North America in 2003. In 2009 it offers its model of franchise in Australia to then replicate the project in many other countries. The company is present in one hundred countries and employs over 9.000 people. THE points of sale are 9.271 in total, most of which are in the United States but are also present in Europe and Asia Pacific and it is in North America that it achieves the majority of its turnover.
